Spring Hill Restaurants Brisbane

There are not many Spring Hill Restaurants but our all time favourite restaurant in Brisbane, The Tibetan Kitchen, is there.

The Tibetan Kitchen - 216 Petrie Terrace
This is one of our favourite restaurants in Brisbane and I would thoroughly recommend it to everyone. The MoMos for starters are fantastic. They are similar to Dim Sum and are so tasty. The menu has lots of main courses to choose from and it is difficult to recommend one more than others as everything we've eaten there has been great. All of the dishes are well explained on the menu and you can choose to have most of them mild. medium or hot. The hot is not too hot. The restaurant is run by Tibetans and the staff are all very helpful and friendly. It is licensed but you can also BYO if you want to. There is another Tibetan Kitchen in Fortitude Valley at 454 Brunswick Street but I have never eaten there so can't comment on it.

The International Hotel - Boundary Street
This pub has a restaurant which has a good menu. At lunchtimes they do two for the price of one some days. You order your food at the counter and pay for it and they give you a buzzer which buzzes when your food is ready and you collect it from the counter. The pizzas here are very good and filling and the burger and chips is also very good.

Imagination - Little Edward Street
This place is a bar and night club and does food but has quite a small menu. I had the seafood basket which was good but everything was heavily bread crumbed and deep fried. The fresh fish dishes are good especially the Barramundi. There is a large window/patio door which is often fully opened and makes this a nice place to sit and people watch.

Wicked Cafe - Corner of Edward Street and Wickham Terrace
This is a great little cafe to have breakfast in if you are staying in the area. They do a very good BLT, a wonderful Breakfast Wrap and a wide choice of other breakfasts. It is quite a small cafe but they have a seated area inside with some cushioned chairs and stools or you can sit outside on their terrace.

There are also quite a few cafes on Leichardt Street that open for breakfast and lunch and a couple of restaurants that open for lunch and dinner.
