Mooloolaba Accommodation

- From Caravan Parks to Luxury Apartments

There is plenty of Mooloolaba Accommodation with something to suit everyone depending on your budget.

The main caravan park in Mooloolaba is the Mooloolaba Beach Caravan Park on Parkyn Parade opposite the Wharf which is a member of Family Parks and is council run. It is mainly set up for caravans and campervans however there are some pitches suitable for tents. It backs on to the beach on The Spit and has two coded gates allowing beach access. There are two free covered BBQs but there is no kitchen. There are no cabins on this caravan park.

It also has the Ocean Beach "extension" on The Mooloolaba Esplanade which is only for caravans but you must check in on Parkyn Parade. This is a long narrow park with one amenities block and almost all of the sites have beach frontage looking on to a narrow sandy beach which then becomes rocky. If you prefer small parks this is a better option than the main one.

For more information on both of these parks you can visit the Maroochy Beach Caravan Parks website.

If these are both full you could try the Alex Beach Top Tourist Park in Alexandra Headland on Okinja Street. This is a large modern site with lots of facilities. They have 1 and 2 bedroom cabins and villas, ensuite powered sites but are not well set up for tents. There is a lovely swimming pool, a children's play park, a games room and gas BBQs. It is located in a quiet area just a few minutes walk from the beach.

Mooloolaba Accommodation - Backpackers

The Mooloolaba Backpackers is at 75 Brisbane Street. It is a modern place with 4 bed dorms and double rooms. There is a salt water pool, a TV room with Foxtel and BBQ facilities.  They offer free surf boards, kayaks and bikes to guests as well as free breakfast daily. The free courtesy bus will collect you at the bus station and also take you to Australia Zoo.

If this is full or you don't like the look of it then you could try the Cotton Tree Backpackers or the YHA Maroochydore Suncoast Backpackers Lodge also in Maroochydore. For more information on these see our Maroochydore page.

Mooloolaba Accommodation - Apartments

If you are looking for an apartment there are no shortage and during the winter you may get a good deal on standby rates. We liked the Pacific Beach Resort on The Esplanade as they has reasonably priced 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments which are very clean, spacious and bright and well equipped. The managers, Norman and Deyan, are very friendly and helpful and really want to make your stay enjoyable.

Also on the Esplanade and reasonably priced are the Landmark Resort and the Windward Apartments. The Beachside Mooloolaba is also good value but is set back a little from the beach on Brisbane Street.

If you are looking for something a bit more luxurious you could try the Mantra Zanzibar, the Mantra Sirocco or more luxurious the Mantra Mooloolaba Beach. They are all on the Esplanade and have access to the gymnasium, pool and spa centre.

For absolute beach frontage two good options are the Beachcomer Apartments and the Mirra Chana Apartments on Parkyn Parade on the Spit.

There are lots of motels in Mooloolaba and Brisbane Street is probably the best place to look for one. It is difficult to recommend one over another but two good options are the Mooloolaba Motel which you can contact on (07) 5444 2988 or the Twin Pines Motel on (07) 5444 5653.
