Byron Bay EntertainmentEnjoy a Great Night Out in This Party TownWhile Byron Bay is quite a small place there is plenty of Byron Bay entertainment for everyone. It is one of the liveliest beach resorts in New South Wales and in all of Australia so if you are looking for a quiet drink, live music or nightclubs with party atmospheres this is the place for you. For those of you who really want to party you should try one of the following places. Cheeky Monkeys is a real party place which caters to backpackers and anybody else looking to have a wild time. They have different parties on each night of the week ranging from wet T-shirt contests to mad Mexican nights. They also have regular ladies nights where the girls can really let their hair down and have a good time. You can eat here too with dishes ranging from pasta to steaks and you will often find good dinner deals on here. Cocomangas on Johnson Street is a lounge and cocktail bar and is Byron Bay's longest running nightclub. It has two bars one of which is non smoking. They have regular party nights and fundraising events and is a favourite place with the 20 somethings. You can also sample some sushi there from a range of dishes which change daily. La La Land on Lawson Street is another good spot to experience Byron Bay entertainment. It is a stylish nightclub with a party atmosphere where you will find world class DJs, live music and plenty of people to help you enjoy a great night out. The music in here tends to be dance and house. Perhaps you are looking for a drink when you come off the beach or in the early evening on your way out. I would recommend the Beach Hotel bar as it is always fairly busy with a good atmosphere. It is an enormous pub with lots of outdoor and indoor tables, a restaurant area and a few great areas for watching sport on large screens. They have live music from Thursday to Sunday and is packed on Friday and Saturday nights when they have a last entry time that you should find out about. If you want to listen to live music especially at the weekend then you should start at the Beach Hotel mentioned above then move on to the two pubs below as this seems to be the order that bands come on. The Station Friendly Bar is in the disused railway station and has an outdoor area and a cosy indoor bar. It is often busy in the early evening and they have live bands from Thursday to Sunday most weeks. The Great Northern Hotel has two bar areas, one which has a couple of pool tables and the other which has the usual betting options and a few screens showing sport, and some tables outside on the street. It is the least attractive of the pubs mentioned in this section but has good late night live music at weekends. If you are looking for some quieter Byron Bay entertainment then there is a multi-screen cinema on Jonson Street beyond Woolworths which shows all the up to date movies.
