Byron Bay Caravan ParksThere are a few Byron Bay caravan parks for you to choose from. They are all different and although we found the Glen Villa Resort to be the best it may not suit everyone. Our information on this page should help you make an informed decision about which Byron Bay caravan park is the best option for you. Our favourite of the Byron Bay caravans park is the Glen Villa Resort which is in the town just across the disused railway line on Butler Street. It has lots of powered and unpowered grassy sites and cabins of different sizes and prices. It is a little expensive but is very well run and has good amenities with a nice little pool and a heated spa. The camp kitchen has BBQs and gas rings, huge fridges as well as the usual kettle and toaster and is closed and locked up at 10pm which can be a bit off putting but means there is not a lot of noise at night. This is probably the most regimented of the Byron Bay caravan parks and doesn't allow undue noise which suited us well. If you are looking to party this is not the place for you. The other Byron Bay caravan park in the town is the First Sun Holiday Park which also sits on the beach front of Main Beach. It is more of a party place than the Glen Villa Resort which will suit many people more than the tight rules set there. They have a wide range of well equipped cabins of varying sizes all of which have verandahs and many have sea views. The powered and unpowered sites are behind the cabins so unfortunately miss out on the sea views. There is also dormitory style accommodation with shared facilities which will suit backpackers and groups. The amenities are modern and clean, the two camp kitchens are well equipped with free BBQs and free wireless internet is available. This caravan park gets busy so it may be an idea to book if you want to stay there. If you prefer to be close to the beach and a little out of the town then perhaps the Clarkes Beach Holiday Park is the best option of the Byron Bay caravan parks for you. It is just off Lighthouse Road and is located right on the beach front. There are plenty of powered sites and some unpowered sites all of which are well shaded and are just behind the sand dunes. It also has 18 well equipped cabins which sleep between 2 and 5 people but they are very close together. For me the highlight of this caravan park is the wonderful sea view from the camp kitchen and outdoor eating area. There is free wireless internet available in this park. The Byron Bay Tourist Village has grassy powered and unpowered sites and a few cabins. It is a few kilometres out of town on the main road to the Bruce Highway so can be a bit noisy but it is set in beautiful surroundings and is not to far from Belongil beach. There are a few more Byron Bay Caravan parks south of Byron Bay on the coast road to Ballina one of which is Suffolk Park which is linked with the First Sun Holiday Park mentioned above.
