Bulimba Restaurants and CafesMost Bulimba Restaurants and Cafes can be found on Oxford Street which is Bulimba's main street. I don't mention all of them and I've only given a write up of the ones that we've visited. What we did find in general is that Bulimba restaurants tend to be fairly pricey in comparison to restaurants in other areas of Brisbane. Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant - Oxford Street This restaurant is linked with the one in Southbank and the food is every bit as good. It's a lovely place to have lunch as they have a lovely deck where you can sit and watch the world go by as you eat. They have a lunchtime menu which is different than the a la carte and the Turkish Bread and hoummus is delicious as is the Chicken and Chickpeas. The staff in this restaurant are very friendly and the restaurant itself is well decorated and furnished. There are some lower tables which probably gives a more authentic eating experience but I prefer the higher ones. On Saturday evenings there is a belly dancer who dances round the tables. Grill'd - Oxford Street This place specialises in burgers and has something to suit everyone. They're more expensive than fast food burger joints but are freshly made meaty burgers on whichever type of bun you want. You can choose from pork, chicken or beef and add whichever salad you prefer. The burgers are wonderful and tasty and the service is reasonably fast even in the busy lunchtime rush. They have tables inside and a few outside on a deck at the back of the cafe. Willies Fine Food - Oxford Street This little cafe is a great place to have lunch if you're in the area at lunchtime. The waitresses are incredibly friendly and the food is very good. They specialise in healthy food but have plenty of other options. The quiche and salad is very good, the beef pies have lots of chunky meat in them and the egg and bacon burger is huge but a bit strange as it's a sandwich with three slices of bread rather than a burger bun. They do lovely chips with an interesting chicken salt. Also on Oxford Street you will find an Earth 'n' Sea Pizza and Pasta Restaurant, a Sushi Station, Get Hooked seafood restaurant which was the winner of Casual Dining 2008 and many other cafes.
